Q1. How is the booking finalized?
The date is finalized upon the immediate payment of the Deposit (Retainer) upon contract signing.
Q2. When is the final payment due?
The remaining balance must be paid in full 7 days prior to the wedding date.
Q3. Is the deposit refundable?
No, the deposit is non-refundable as it secures the date and initiates the contract.
Q4. Can I change the wedding date?
Date changes are possible if requested 90 days in advance, subject to Motionelfilm’s availability.
Q5. If I cancel the wedding, do I get a refund?
If the wedding is canceled within 90 days, all fees paid to date are non-refundable.
Q6. What happens if we exceed the package time?
Overtime coverage will incur an additional charge of $200 per hour.
Q7. Do you charge extra for distant California locations?
Yes, a Long-Distance Travel Fee of $200 applies if the venue is a 1-hour or longer one-way distance from our base location.
Q8. When will I receive the highlight film?
The Cinematic Highlight Film (under 5 minutes) will be delivered via digital online link within 15 days of the wedding date.
Q9. When are the extended edits (full films) delivered?
All optional extended edits (e.g., Full-Length Documentary Film) will be delivered within 4 to 8 weeks of the wedding date.
Q10. Can I request revisions on the film?
You are entitled to one round of minor revisions (e.g., music change, specific cut removal) on the Highlight Film only. Major stylistic changes are not permitted.
Q11. Who owns the copyright to the footage?
The copyright for all footage remains the property of Motionelfilm. Raw footage is available for purchase as an Add-On option.
